IT & Computer Support Melbourne

Computer support for Melbourne homes and small businesses that don't have an IT person — from a technician based in Mitcham with 25+ years at it. Ring when something stops working, or have us look after your setup on an ongoing basis. Either way you deal with someone local who knows your machines, not a call centre.

IT support for small businesses

Most small offices, clinics, practices and shops run on a handful of computers, a Microsoft 365 or Google account, a printer, a router and one or two pieces of business software — and nobody whose job it is to keep it all working. That's the gap we fill. We set things up properly, keep them patched and backed up, and fix them quickly when they break, so a fault costs you an hour rather than a trading day.

  • Microsoft 365 and email — mailboxes, shared calendars, Teams, domains and the settings that stop mail landing in spam or not arriving at all
  • Backups and continuity — tested backups of the machines and files the business can't run without — and a plan for the bad day
  • Networks and Wi-Fi — office networks, mesh and access points, printers and point-of-sale terminals that stay connected
  • New staff and new devices — laptops set up, accounts created, files moved and access removed cleanly when someone leaves
  • Security — multi-factor sign-in, sensible permissions, patching and help straight away if an account or invoice looks wrong
  • Business software and servers — practice-management and booking systems, local servers and cloud services — usually a permissions or network problem, not the software

Computer support for homes

At home the job is the same idea on a smaller scale: one person to ring when the computer, the email, the Wi-Fi or the printer stops cooperating. We explain what went wrong in plain English, fix it properly rather than papering over it, and leave things set up so it doesn't happen again.

  • Email, accounts and passwords — mail that won't send or receive, locked accounts, and getting back into the ones you've been shut out of
  • Wi-Fi and the home network — dead spots, dropouts, printers and smart TVs that lost the network after an update
  • New computer setup — moving files, photos, email and passwords across so the new machine works like the old one did
  • Scams and security — clean-up after a "your computer has a virus" call or remote-access scam, and securing the accounts afterwards

Ongoing support or call-when-you-need-us

You can use us either way. Plenty of clients simply ring when something goes wrong. Businesses that rely on their systems every day usually prefer an ongoing arrangement: we keep their setup documented, monitored and maintained, priorities and response times are written down, and retainer clients get a two-hour priority response. There's no lock-in to find out which suits you — call and we'll talk it through.

Onsite, remote or on the bench

Most support doesn't need a visit: a secure remote session sorts out email, software, accounts and settings in minutes, anywhere in Melbourne. When it does need hands on — a network, a new office setup, hardware that has failed — we come to you across the eastern suburbs, and the Mitcham workshop is there by appointment for repairs that need the bench. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the first diagnosis over the phone is free.

Questions we get asked

Do you provide IT support for small businesses?

Yes — that's a large part of what we do. We look after offices, practices, clinics and shops that don't have their own IT staff: Microsoft 365 and email, backups, networks and Wi-Fi, new staff setups, security and business software. Some clients call as needed; others have an ongoing arrangement with a two-hour priority response.

Can you help remotely, or do you need to come out?

Most support can be done by secure remote session, anywhere in Melbourne, often the same day. We only come onsite when the job genuinely needs it — networks, hardware, a new setup — and we do onsite visits across Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

Do you look after Microsoft 365 and business email?

Yes. Setting up and managing Microsoft 365 is routine for us — mailboxes, shared calendars, Teams, domain and DNS settings, multi-factor sign-in, and sorting out mail that bounces, lands in spam or goes missing. We also work with Google Workspace.

Do you offer ongoing or managed IT support?

Yes. For businesses that depend on their systems we offer an ongoing arrangement: we keep your setup documented and maintained, priorities and response times are agreed in writing, and retainer clients get a two-hour priority response. Call and we'll work out what suits the size of your business.

Do you help home users too, or only businesses?

Both. Plenty of our clients are households — email that stopped working, Wi-Fi that drops out, a new computer to set up, or help after a scam call. We explain things in plain English and won't sell you anything you don't need.

Which areas do you cover?

Remote support anywhere in Melbourne. Onsite visits across the eastern suburbs — Mitcham, Nunawading, Ringwood, Blackburn, Box Hill, Forest Hill, Vermont, Donvale, Doncaster, Balwyn and surrounds — with the workshop in Mitcham by appointment.
