How to find your laptop's model number — every major brand

Before any repair or parts search, you need your laptop's exact model — and every brand hides it somewhere different. Here is where to find it on each major brand, and why it matters more than people expect.

Why the model number matters

The same laptop model often shipped with several different screens — FHD, QHD, 4K, OLED, touch or high-refresh gaming panels — that look alike but are not interchangeable. Your exact model (and often a sub-code) is what tells us which panel yours has, so a quote is accurate the first time. It is worth two minutes to find it before you ring anyone.
