Why Surface screens are a special case
This is the most important thing to understand before you ring anyone about a Surface. Microsoft builds these like tablets: the outer glass, the touch digitiser and the LCD are laminated together as a single PixelSense assembly, and that assembly is glued into the body with strong adhesive.
